ABOUT

Ahoskie Elementary School is dedicated to producing 21st Century citizens that are respectful, responsible, and safe. In order to do so, we have established guidelines that our students must follow.

School-Wide Expectations

The students at Ahoskie Elementary School have been learning about school-wide behavioral expectations. These expectations have been agreed upon by the staff as an effective way to be proactive in managing behaviors. The following information shows the expectation along with what the particular behaviors    should look like at AES.  We are teaching students to be:

   Accountable

   Engaged

   Safe

We Always Expect Success! It's the AES way!

What is PBIS?

PBIS is a process for creating safer and more effective schools. Through PBIS, schools teach and support positive behavior for all students and all staff everywhere in the school.

What can parents do to support PBIS at AES?

The implementation of PBIS is a big undertaking for a school. As Ahoskie Elementary progresses through the implementation process, we need to hear from parents. Please call the school to see how best you can help out.

Positive Behavior Support for Family

  • The link between families and positive behavioral interventions and supports is an important one. When families are meaningfully involved in educational activities their children do better in schools. Families play an important part in their child's education and social development. The presence of parents in schools not only provides additional academic supports but also creates community and cultural connections.
